Robert’s frustration mounted. “Can you be more specific?” he demanded. The man met his gaze, eyes sharp. “Some things are best left alone,” he said cryptically, his tone calm but firm. Without another word, he turned and began to walk away. Desperate for answers, Robert rushed after him. “Wait! Please, I need to understand!” he called out.
The man paused briefly but didn’t look back. “I’ve told you all I can,” he muttered, his voice low. “Is there anyone else who knows?” Robert asked one final time. The man shook his head, closing off all further hope of clarity, leaving Robert with more questions than ever.
