The man with the camera muttered, “Could be pollution.” A woman in a sunhat added, “Or some weird sea creatures?” A teenager, eyes wide, suggested, “Maybe it’s from a shipwreck.” Robert stood silently, listening to the theories, each more unsettling than the last. “Whatever it is, it’s not normal,” he said, his voice low.
