As the last few beachgoers trickled off, local news crews arrived, cameras and microphones poised. “What’s happening here?” a reporter asked, approaching one of the officers. “No comment,” the officer replied, stepping before the camera. “We want to understand,” the reporter started, but the officer cut him off.
“You need to leave,” he insisted. Undeterred, the news teams were forced to film from a distance, capturing the growing mystery. The patrol’s refusal to share information heightened the crowd’s unease. “Why won’t they tell us anything?” a woman asked, her voice tinged with frustration. “What are they hiding?” someone else muttered. The air was thick with suspicion.
