George Strait – $10 Million – San Antonio, Texas
Country music legend George Strait is known for iconic hits like “Amarillo by Morning” and “The Chair.” In the mid-1990s, Strait and his wife Norma purchased land in the exclusive Dominion Country Club neighborhood of San Antonio. There, they built a one-of-a-kind adobe mansion designed by sculptor-turned-architect Bill Tull.
The 7,925-square-foot estate took two years to complete and boasted stunning features like 14 hand-sculpted fireplaces, a separate bathroom and closet for each bedroom, and even a safe room resembling a Western movie bank vault. The house went on the market in 2018 for $10 million. After several price reductions, it was finally sold in 2021 to Shannon Ralson.
