Some say true love is worth the wait. In the case of a famous singer and the Empress of Soul as she has been referred to, Gladys Knight, she found her true love after three failed previous attempts. Knight met her fourth husband, William McDowell, ten years before they married in 2001.
They have remained married for more than 20 years. The couple said their vows to each other just three months after dating. They are sometimes seen gushing over each other at events and on social media. Knight was featured in the 2020 documentary “Summer of Soul.”
