Novak decided to slow down with all the acting work when she reached her mid-30s, but she still accepted new gigs sporadically. She ultimately entered retirement for good after appearing in “Lievestraum” in 1991. In 2020, she got featured on several episodes of “CBS News Sunday Morning.”
