Ann Blyth (Born In 1928) – New York
Ann Blyth is among the last surviving actresses from Hollywood’s Golden Age. She appeared in radio programs for children at an early age, and she eventually began appearing on Broadway as a young teenager. In 1944, she started her professional film career.
Her breakthrough performance was in the 1945 film “Mildred Pierce,” which got her an Oscar nomination. Blyth stopped acting after appearing as a guest character on “Murder, She Wrote” in 1985, and she devoted most of her time to raising her children. She also performed in concerts, and Harper MacKay served as her music director and accompanist.
